Competition Team/
Performing Group

The Knight’s Academy of Dance Performing Teams provide an opportunity for students to develop discipline, responsibility, self-confidence and co-operation in a professional, yet fun, dance environment.

Members of the The Knight’s Academy of Dance Performing Team are selected for participation on an annual basis through audition only. No student of Knight’s Academy of Dance is required to be a member of the Performing Team, therefore participation is considered a privilege.

We have 4 different, performing teams which are as follows:

   Mini team 4

Mini Team (Saturday 12noon – 1pm)
The mini team will have the opportunity to learn performance skills and additional dance technique to what is already taught in class. Being part of this team will build confidence and the mini’s will have some amazing experiences. The team will perform in both competitive and non-competitive performances.

Performing Team (Wednesday 6:30pm – 8:00pm)
This team will continue to perform in amazing venues such as The Stag Theatre, Her Majesty’s Theatre, Theatre Royal Drury Lane and many many more! Having fun is a huge element in this group as well as being able to perform as much as we can. As a member of the team, dancers will participate in festivals, school fetes and other local events as well as compete in dance competitions, perform in Knight’s Academy showcase performances and perform at other venues throughout the year.

Comp Group 2

Competition Team (Wednesday 6:30pm – 8:00pm)
This team will require a huge amount of hard work, dedication and commitment. Each competition carries a performing fee which will increase the level of expenses required for this team. We will compete as often as possible and it’s very likely that we will have to travel long distances. We will also have the opportunity to perform at local showcases as well as the increased number of competitions

Elite Team (Wednesday 4:30pm – 5:30pm)
This team is by invitation only and will change on a termly basis. The lesson will be used for solos and additional dances.
